The Suffolk PBA honors the life and legacy of Police Officer Jack Burkhardt

On March 15th, the Suffolk PBA honors the life and legacy of Police Officer Jack Burkhardt, who died on this day while serving and protecting his beloved county. Officer Burkhardt responded to a burglary call in a shopping center in Mastic, where he and his partner were tasked with investigating the area. Officer Burkhardt was involved in an unfortunate incident where he fell from the roof of the building and was rushed to a hospital shortly after. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries five days later. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends who continue to grieve his loss, and we thank Officer Burkhardt for his selfless service to our community.
